 The
secluded position of Javea, sandwiched between the
dramatic cliffs of Cabo de Nao and Cabo de San Antonio and sheltered
by Mount Montgo in the West, gives it a micro-climate that ensures some

From North to South, the capes of San Antonio, San Martin, Negre and

original town of Javea has remained almost untouched

 Javea
also has one of the most attractive harbours along
the Mediterranean. The Nautical Club at the marina has 297 berths and
facilities for all water sports, sailing, fishing, nautical supplies,
scuba diving, water skiing, windsurfing, etc. It is here also that you
can spend many a fine evening in one of the inviting restaurants that
can be found along the quay. The 'catch of the day' is a favourite with
visitors or you can enjoy a bottle of the local wine with one of the
wonderful speciality dishes of the region at one of the numerous bars
and cafes that line the waterfront.
At the southern end of the bay is the Playa Arena,
a beach of soft, white sand that fronts the promenade. This comes to
life at night with stalls selling a variety of jewellery and trinkets,
lively cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlours.
 If
you are feeling energetic, Javea offers a wide range
of activities to keep you busy. For the golf enthusiast
there is a good 18 hole course that is quite challenging. Windsurfing,
water skiing, diving and snorkelling can be enjoyed on the coast and
there are local stables available for those keen on riding. The less
energetic can take advantage of the many boat trips that are available
along the coast.
